The North Norfolk Manufacturing Group has been established by a consortium of liked-minded organisations who are committed to see best practice, business collaboration & economic development prosper locally.
The aim of the North Norfolk Manufacturing Group is to bring together the vast amount of talent in the region, and create a group of like minded businesses with the shared goal of advancing Manufacturing and Engineering in the Region.
Stewart is the Business Development Officer at North Norfolk District Council where he is responsible for contributing to the delivery of the Council’s economic growth priorities, driving business growth and investment in North Norfolk.
Prior to joining the Council, Stewart spent 9 years in manufacturing in a marketing capacity – firstly at Anglian Building Products in Norwich and then at a family owned SME in Thetford.
Stewart will be working with NAAME to help manage and promote the NNMG.
hThe First meeting of the North Norfolk Manufacturing Group was hosted by Raptor Aerospace at Scottow Enterprise Park on the 17th July.
The meeting, which was attended by roughly 25 people, focused on identifying what the regional challenges are, as well as successes that should be celebrated.
Attendees were given an overview of the work that Raptor has been undertaking, and of the projects that their Work Experience students have been undertaking. Raptor have been identified as one of the Norfolk and Suffolk Future 50, and have already experienced rapid growth in the past year, requiring them to upsize their business premises.
The next North Norfolk Manufacturing Group meeting will be held on the 9th October. Venue TBC.
